Parkwood Entertainment, led by Beyonce, has collaborated with AMC Theatres to present ‘Renaissance: A Film by Beyonce,’ a cinematic release capturing the essence of the Renaissance World Tour. The movie is set to premiere globally in theaters on December 1, with international ticket sales commencing on November 9. Highlighting the tour’s remarkable journey, spanning 56 shows, 39 cities, and 12 countries, the film promises an immersive experience.
The press release underscores the overwhelming acclaim received by Beyonce’s performance during the Renaissance World Tour. The tour, featuring 2.7 million fans from across the globe, fostered an atmosphere of freedom, acceptance, and shared joy, particularly celebrated for its maximalist production and the allure of Club Renaissance.
Scheduled for Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, the film offers multiple showtimes throughout the day, with tickets starting at $22 plus tax, mirroring international pricing. Additionally, Renaissance will be accessible in IMAX, Dolby Cinema, and other premium large format screens. Tickets are currently available for purchase at all AMC locations in the US and through Fandango.
Comparisons to Taylor Swift’s Eras concert film, which grossed $200 million globally and continues to achieve milestones, add intrigue to the anticipation surrounding Beyonce’s release. Despite a recent decline in sales to $24 million in the US and globally over a weekend, the combined $48 million for the week is considered a commendable success for a concert film. As Eras expands its reach to more international markets on November 2, including Brazil, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, and Turkey, all eyes will be on whether Beyonce can match or surpass this performance.
