Beyoncé Penns A Moving Open Letter In Honor Of The "Beloved Queen," Tina Turner

Beyoncé has written a tribute to Tina Turner, the late Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll, who passed away last week at the age of 83.

On Thursday (May 25), Queen Bey sent a powerful open letter to Turner on her official website. She made mention to the influence that Turner had on her career as well as the careers of other Black women musicians. Queen Bey is famous for performing with the “It’s Only Love” singer at the 2008 Grammys.

She wrote, “My beloved Queen, I love you endlessly.” “I’m very appreciative of your motivation and the many ways you’ve paved the way. You are resilient and strong. You personify strength and desire.

“We are all very blessed to have experienced your generosity and lovely spirit, which will never fade. I appreciate everything you’ve done.

Tina Lawson, Beyoncé’s mother, responded to her daughter’s tribute with a similar Instagram post.

She wrote, “I remember this day like it was yesterday. It was the day that Beyoncé and Tina Turner were scheduled to practice for the Grammys. We were all so shocked to see Beyoncé, who had transformed into a five-year-old, actually skipping across the floor to embrace her when she finally arrived and we were informed that she was in the other room.

“I was the biggest admirer, and I had my own tale of meeting Tina in 1972. Beyonce always spoke highly of the two Tinas that she appreciated and adored. We got the opportunity to meet her there after she performed an homage to her at the Kennedy honors years earlier.

She added, “She was beautiful. Even though she was larger than life, this was unique. She actually had the opportunity to perform beside Tina Turner! It is one of Beyonce’s favorite recollections of those times since they had so much laughs. Without this renowned, beautiful, and strong woman, the world would be a less better place.

“Tina Turner, who started over in her mid-forties and became the biggest super star, comes to mind when I need to summon my super strength and believe that I can accomplish anything. The idea that it’s more about the individual and not their age always gives me optimism. Today I honor this magnificent, lovely, and tough queen who will be sorely missed. Her qualities were “Simply The Best.”

According to her official Instagram profile, Tina Turner (birth name Anna Mae Bullock) passed away quietly on Wednesday, May 24, at her home in Küsnacht, Switzerland.

We announce Tina Turner’s passing with deep sorrow, according to a statement. “She charmed millions of admirers worldwide with her music and her inexhaustible zest for life, and she inspired the stars of tomorrow. We bid a close friend farewell today, leaving behind her greatest contribution to the world: her music. Our deepest sympathies are with her family. We will miss you terribly, Tina.
