Ben Gordon and Cam’ron had a heated exchange regarding the former NBA player’s claimed attacks with sewing needles, but Cam’ron has since made it clear that he has no grudge with Gordon.
The Dipset rapper said it was all “water under the bridge” between him and Gordon during an appearance on Fox 5 New York’s Good Day New York on Friday (May 19).
Let me now describe what transpired with Ben Gordon, Cam’ron said. Funny how my brother over there is the one who began the whole affair. I wrote a report about Ben Gordon, so I won’t talk about Ben — how are you, Ben?
He didn’t like that very much, so he tried to attack me, and I retaliated. But, you know, I adore Ben, so it’s all in good humor. I’m very in love with Ben.
Scotto questioned Cam about if he was scared by any of the threats the former NBA Sixth Man of the Year had made against him, and Cam answered, “Not even a little bit.”
Ben is cool, so no. My man is Ben,” Cam said. “At least on my end, it’s all fun and games. I believe everything is a game. Ben is not a problem for me.
“You must question Ben on the sewing needles. Although I have nothing to do with the sewing needles, it is finished in my opinion. Ben Gordon has my heart. I hope we can talk on the phone and resolve any issues he may have with me.
Ben Gordon, who played for more than ten years in the NBA with the Chicago Bulls, Detroit Pistons, Charlotte Bobcats, and Orlando Magic, was detained in December 2022 on suspicion of randomly stabbing individuals in Harlem, New York, with sewing needles.
Cam went to the Harlem hospital where Gordon was being held after the incident to cover the event and speak with the people for his sports program It Is What It Is.
Cam captioned the footage with, “At 11:15 this morning, former NBA player Ben Gordon was detained and taken to Harlem hospital after witnesses say he was trying to stab random people with sewing needles,” on Instagram.
“At this point, everything is just conjecture. Ben, though, appears to have had mental health concerns for some time. Let’s hope he receives the support he requires.
During a recent interview on The Jig Is Up podcast, Ben Gordon was questioned about Cam’ron’s video. He vowed to confront the Come Home With Me rapper and file a lawsuit for slander.
“Cameras is Cam’ron-ing,” he exclaimed. “Fuck outta here, man. To think a grown man drove from where he was to come mock. That is n-gga stupid. Hey, man, slander and libel are real things. My attorneys are practicing law. I am aware that you enjoy using foul language. That’s right, your shits is computing on my computers. Gang, fuck off here.
“That day, there was a black-on-black crime. You know, Cam’ron, they likely phoned the police and did everything on me. They boys played me. The cameras are capturing images. Kodak Coming soon: cron-ing I have absolutely nothing to lose. I too received paper, n-gga. Get the hell out of here, n-ggas.
“Want to Cal Watson me?” Wait, you called yourself a big bull? Ayoooo, and U want to smack me in the what with some insane hard boonks? Pause. I don’t know where your mind is at, but there won’t ever be a one-on-one conversation between you and me. U got it, champ. Pause.”
I’m scared and frightened, he continued. I’ve heard you loud and clear, and if necessary, I’ll have you institutionalized. Sorry, Ben Ben. This message actually reads, FOH BEN!!! Laugh and stop talking the whole time you were. U r a crazy nigga, lol.
