Before Babyface enters the scene to reveal the album’s name, everyone in the video exhibits a similar response to the project and agrees that it will be a hit when it is released.
There are no other details about the album other than the fact that it includes the previously released singles “Nice Guy” and “Spend it” with Blxst and Nija. The album will come after the 31-year-FACE, old’s which was released in January.
FACE peaked at No. 31 on the Billboard 200 while debuting at No. 2 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and Top Rap Albums lists, respectively. The 20 tunes it included featured Icewear Vezzo, Yung Lean, G Herbo, 42 Dugg, Wiz Khalifa, Pusha T, and other artists.
A deluxe edition with eight more tracks and appearances by LUCKI, DJ ESCO, Lil Yachty, Veeze, and Baroline was released in May. Babyface Ray gained a lot of recognition on the national stage as a result of the album, including a coveted spot on the XXL Freshman list.
In June, Babyface received one of the greatest endorsements of his career when fellow Detroit rapper Big Sean was spotted hanging out with him. Sean Don claims that Ray has been “selected” to succeed him as ruler of Motor City.
“I feel like that’s one of the reasons he’s you know he’s chosen,” Sean said while standing next to Ray and his entourage at an event. “It’s like he pulled the sword out of the motherfuckin stone you know what I mean? King Arthur, you know what I mean?”
He added: “That happens only once every decade, once every other decade every thirty, forty years so it’s like you gotta understand how special it is.”
