Today, renowned Australian rapper Dheezy releases his most recent song, “Flip Em All The Bird” featuring Bizarre of D12 and illustrious Shady Records. The song is from Dheezy’s six-track Killah Kombo EP, which also debuted today, July 21st, and includes D-12 (Kuniva & Swifty McVay), Obie Trice, and production from multi-platinum producer K.E. on the Track.
Dheezy releases the joint project with Bizarre and different members of Detroit’s Dirty Dozen aka D-12 in an effort to bridge the gap between the gritty streets of Detroit, Michigan and the grimy streets of Japan in order to expand his fan base on both sides of the Pacific.
The collaboration between Bizarre and Dheezy occurred right after their He’s Got a Gun album with Foul Mouth, which was timed perfectly. Making the most of his time with D-12, Dheezy worked with Swifty McVay and Kniva to film the music clip backstage at the Snoop Dogg event.
“Back in March, while Snoop Dogg was on tour, we shot a music video. Kniva and I were the only two present, so we were up there capturing portions of the video. They were like incredibly polite and super mellow to get along with, cracking jokes, and yep it was just lots of joy to work with those guys,” Dheezy said.
Dheezy recounted how the project came together with his aid and willingness to help put together features, with assistance from M-80 and his Holy Toledo Productions.
“I released my first track on Soundcloud in 2013, and over the years, I uploaded a few more tracks there, but I didn’t start taking music seriously until 2019. After meeting M-80 in early 2021, I finally got started with it, Dheezy stated. “I spoke with M-80 for the first time regarding a feature. Then I started to see all the possibilities he may present. I considered how I wanted to organize everything. It began off as a few features, but after I started chatting with Bizarre on Instagram, we put together an EP, which eventually turned into the Killer Kombo.
Fans of the old school and the new underground will enjoy this retro vibe, which is driven by Dheezy’s bizarre rhymes and infused with Bizarre’s distinctive flow and unfiltered lyricism.
Dheezy is appreciative of all the support he has received at home and locally even though he is trying to break out of the Australian hip-hop scene.
Recently, there have been many little conflicts, but I haven’t gotten involved in any of them locally. I have been concentrating more on my work abroad, but I would like to increase my local fan base and perform at more events here.
Dheezy has been lured to the metal-influenced rap, despite the fact that his sound may be challenging to categorize.
“It’s a little difficult to explain my sound. I enjoy a wide variety of musical genres, including Limp Bizkit and more of the metal rap vibe. I’ve begun putting some of that to work. I find it difficult to define my style, however you could say I’m a little experimental.
