Audiomack Introduces ‘Sponsored Songs’: Empowering Artists With Targeted Music Promotion.

Audiomack, a popular platform for streaming and discovering music, is introducing a new feature that allows artists to promote their music directly to specific audiences by paying for placement.

Founded in 2012, Audiomack offers artists and labels a place to share their music for free. Users don’t need a premium account to access features like unlimited storage, detailed analytics, and professional tools for managing their careers. For those looking for an ad-free experience with high-quality sound and extra features, Audiomack offers a $6.99 per month mobile subscription.

The new feature, called ‘Sponsored Songs,’ combines targeted advertising with Audiomack’s recommendation system. Artists can choose their preferred audience based on location and music genre. Audiomack’s algorithm then strategically places their songs in playlists that match these preferences, as outlined in a recent blog post.

Audiomack is keen on transparency with ‘Sponsored Songs,’ providing artists with clear estimates of how many plays they can expect based on their budget and targeting choices. This initiative aims to provide a legitimate alternative to unreliable third-party services that falsely boost play counts.

Brian Zisook, Audiomack’s EVP of Global Operations, warns against purchasing streams from dubious sources, which could result in music removal and loss of access to an artist’s profile, stressing that it’s not a sustainable strategy.

David Ponte, Audiomack’s Chief Marketing Officer, explains that by offering a secure and authorized promotional tool, Audiomack aims to empower creators further in their journey to success.

‘Sponsored Songs’ offer flexibility in timing and funding. Artists can schedule campaigns around new releases for maximum impact. They can finance promotions using earnings from Audiomack’s Monetization Program (AMP) or external methods like credit cards, catering to artists at different stages of their careers.

Audiomack’s Monetization Program allows artists to earn money directly from their music on the platform, supporting their growth and helping them connect with music fans actively looking for new talent.

To use ‘Sponsored Songs,’ artists need to complete Audiomack’s creator authentication process. Once verified, they can launch campaigns through the Creator App or the web-based Creator Dashboard.

This latest feature is part of Audiomack’s ongoing efforts to support artists, following the introduction of tools like the ‘Connect Tab’ for direct messaging to followers and the ‘Creator App’ providing analytics tools. In 2022, Audiomack introduced ‘Premiere Access’ for early music releases to dedicated fans and ‘Supporters’ for fans to support artists directly through special badges.

Earlier this year, Audiomack partnered with Merlin, a digital rights music licensing partner for indie labels and distributors. This collaboration expands the reach of Merlin members’ music to Audiomack’s engaged listener base, highlighting Audiomack’s commitment to supporting diverse music creators worldwide.
