At Concerts, Fat Joe Blasts Phone-Wielding Fans For Not Being "In The Moment"

In a recent tirade, Fat Joe chastised concertgoers who routinely record performances on their phones, adding that they “aren’t really in the moment.”

While driving, Joe vented his concerns on Instagram Live, urging viewers to put their smartphones away and focus instead on the scene in front of them.

“If you go to a show, and you pull your camera out and you’re recording, you’re not really in the moment,” Joe said. “You’re recording what’s going on.” You’re not enjoying it. If you know how to live in the moment.”

He added: “Put some fire signs if you understand what I’m saying.” If you don’t then you lost, because this social media got n-ggas lost.”

Rapper Fat Joe is not the first to voice his displeasure with fans and their cellphones. Lil Uzi Vert is accused of hitting another fan with a fan’s phone that he allegedly threw onto his platform during a chaotic performance at the Wireless Festival in London’s Crystal Palace Park last year.
