Last week, Summer Walker released Clear 2: Soft Life, the second book in her Clear series. To commemorate its release, a live orchestra concert will take place in Atlanta.
Walker announced her upcoming performance on Instagram on Monday, May 22. On Tuesday, June 1, the artist will perform a unique “one night only” concert at Atlanta’s Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center.
Atlanta, ahh For one night only on June 1st at Cobb Energy Centre, I’ll be performing the clear series with a live orchestra. Text 404.476.6404 to receive the presale code today at 12 p.m. ET, she stated in the caption.
Her 2019 EP of the same name, Clear 2: Soft Life, was followed up with a release on Friday, May 19. Just two of the big names on the album are J. Cole and Childish Gambino.
Solange, Steve Lacy, John Kirby, influencer-turned-producer Jay Versace, and other others are also named as producers.
Summer Walker recently responded to criticism questioning her lack of energy on stage, therefore the announcement of her next appearance is unexpected.
With the release of “Girls Need Love” from her debut album, Last Day Of Summer, in 2018, the singer made a name for herself as the R&B girl that everyone can identify with thanks to her beautiful voice and aptitude for appealing to nostalgia.
Walker’s live performances, however, haven’t always received favorable reviews. Fans have long argued over her alleged lack of zeal on stage. Summer has previously mentioned how she used her apparent “lack of energy” as a way to hide her social anxieties.
Summer Walker felt the need to clarify her position in a recent Instagram post, stating that organizing a concert around the style of music she creates—slow, melodic beats—just wouldn’t make sense.
