As The Longest-Charting Female Rapper On The Hot 100, Nicki Minaj Surpasses Missy Elliott's Record

Missy Elliott’s record for the longest-charting female rapper on the Billboard Hot 100 has been surpassed by Nicki Minaj.

Before Minaj edged out Elliott on New Year’s Day, the two rap legends were tied for the record, according to Chart Data (January 1).

The tweet stated, “@NickiMinaj breaks a tie with Missy Elliott (1996*-2008) to become the female rapper with the longest consecutive years charting a single on the Hot 100 (2010-2023).”

The song “Super Freaky Girl,” which is ranked No. 51 on this week’s Hot 100, was the one that gave Nicki the record. The song has remained steady on the chart for 20 weeks and previously peaked at No. 1 in August of last year.
