The app is available on Roku, Google Play Store, and Apple iOS App Store, aiming to empower storytellers and engage audiences through a mix of original, independent, and impactful content. Viewers from more than 60 countries, including the United States, Germany, Japan, Jamaica, Belize, and Ghana, are signing up, with subtitles available in multiple languages.

Washington states that AEN’s goal is to create a space where creativity is celebrated and new voices are amplified, offering authentic entertainment that bridges cultures, genres, and generations. AEN focuses on supporting creators and curating content that entertains, educates, and elevates.

Anthony Washington began his entertainment industry career at WDKX, a Black-owned radio station in Rochester, New York. He also co-founded the Black Film Association of Upstate New York. Influenced by his father, a photographer for 45 years, and his mother, who worked at Eastman Kodak for 31 years, Washington created his own streaming platform to tell stories highlighting Black culture.
