Boston artist Amanda Shea has announced the release of her new chapbook, Echoes of Unrequited Love, which presents a new collection that turns heartbreak into reflection, pairing striking imagery with emotional depth.
The project explores themes of heartbreak, memory, and self-restoration. Through haunting metaphors and lyrical imagery, Shea reimagines personal loss as creative expression. In the collection, lovers become sky and storm, flame and ice, seed and soil, metaphoric contrasts that underscore the emotional tension between connection and release. Each poem examines longing, resilience, and the quiet strength required to let go of what was never meant to be held.
The chapbook was pressed and edited by Brandon “Mello” Jones, with photography by Kat Concep and book cover photography by Mike. Together, these collaborators contribute to the book’s visual and emotional tone, complementing Shea’s introspective writing with imagery that reinforces its delicate balance between pain and peace.
Echoes of Unrequited Love marks Shea’s continued evolution as both a writer and performance artist.
