After "Players" Success, Coi Leray And Pharrell Hits The Studio

Coi Leray and Pharrell Williams got along in the studio as her most recent song, “Players,” assisted her in reaching two significant chart milestones this week.

She shared both stills of herself and the multi-platinum producer in their Parisian recording studio on Saturday (January 21), as well as a muted video of the two conversing. Her message congratulating the success of her TikTok-powered song marked the end of the multi-slide post.

“. @coi_leray’s ‘Players’ is expected to be the biggest gainer on the Billboard Hot 100 this week, aiming for an entry inside the top 60,” read the tweet also posted by Talk of the Charts on Saturday.

Although the song’s chart performance fell short of expectations, Coi Leray did climb 20 ranks to reach No. 78 in its second week on the Hot 100 chart for the week ending January 21. The song, which topped the Rap Digital Songs list for the same week, has also become the Boston native’s first No. 1 single.

The success of “Players,” which was first made available on November 30, 2022, has been boosted by the song’s ubiquity on Instagram Reels and TikTok. The record reached new heights thanks to a Jersey Club remix by DJ Smallz 732 and a mashup by DJ Paige featuring Coi Leray’s “Players” vocals over Busta Rhymes’ 1997 smash “Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See.”
