While YG has always been in favor of efforts to deliver 2Pac’s flowers, his most recent trip to the Hollywood Walk of Fame star ceremony in 2Pac’s honor put him in legal hot water.
The Compton native can be seen just outside the ceremony’s venue on Hollywood Boulevard in an Instagram story shared on Wednesday (June 7), with about five police officers standing behind him. The rapper appeared to take it all in stride, however it’s unclear whether he was technically detained or was just pulled over.
You found what you were looking for, right? Yeah? He asked, smiling, “No? “You guys discover it? Hell no, right? I told you, son, that I am a real gangster with the Bloods, and I am one. Ha ha!”
He then turns to face the officers, who don’t appear to be paying him any attention, though one of them looks to be issuing a ticket.
Before that, when the “Let’s Ride” rapper discovered that it had taken almost 25 years for ‘Pac to receive his just due on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, he expressed his annoyances on Twitter.
It took more than 25 years for Tupac to receive a star on Hollywood Boulevard. He tweeted last week, “Y’all have him f*cked all the way up.
Boosie Badazz added his voice to the discussion and assured the public that the “Hit ‘Em Up” rapper was pointing his middle finger upward from the Great Beyond.
Tupac is not enshrined on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Wow, what disrespect! Don’t worry, he’s tweeting “FUCK YALL from the Grave!!”
A little more than a week before what would have been his 52nd birthday, and over 27 years after the West Coast legend’s sad assassination, the long-awaited event took place on Wednesday (June 7) on Hollywood Boulevard.
Prior to her moving statement, the late rapper’s younger sister Sekyiwa “Set” Shakur received a resolution from the City of Los Angeles recognizing the good deeds and legacy of 2Pac.
“2Pac had a deep-seated understanding that he was destined for greatness. I had the luxury of seeing that grandeur develop as his younger sister,” she remarked. “He knew he had the dream to get a star here on the Walk of Fame from the first time he stepped foot on stage at the Apollo Theater at 13 years old before anyone recognized his name.
It also speaks volumes about the long-lasting impact he has had on this globe, the set continued, paying respect to his contributions to the music industry.
“Today, we’re not simply commemorating a star on the ground; we’re honoring the entire world and the ardor with which he pursued his goals. Today, his celestial star will shine a little brighter.
