Adobe has introduced a new version of its Firefly suite, including a Generate Soundtrack tool currently in public beta. The tool allows users to create fully licensed, studio-quality music tracks for videos using text prompts like “dreamlike” or “electronic.” Tracks are automatically trimmed to match the video’s length.
Firefly’s AI models are trained on licensed content from Adobe Stock and public domain works, distinguishing the tool from other generative AI music platforms facing copyright lawsuits. Firefly also includes AI-powered video editing, speech generation, and image editing tools.
The suite offers free access and subscription plans ranging from $9.99 to $199.99 per month, with higher tiers allowing more videos per month. Adobe’s move reflects a growing trend of integrating AI music generation into digital media tools, alongside platforms like Epidemic Sound’s Adapt and Tencent Music’s AI creation tools.
