A$AP Rocky appears on the cover of Vanity Fair’s Hollywood Issue released Tuesday (Nov. 18), using the feature to speak openly about his commitment to acting and why he plans to continue pursuing film roles.
“Acting is just another component of the great arts,” he told the magazine. “And I’m a Renaissance man … I’ve always had a desire, this innate passion for doing these acting roles.”
The Harlem artist spent much of 2025 on-screen, starring in Spike Lee’s Highest 2 Lowest alongside Denzel Washington and also appearing in A24’s If I Had Legs I’d Kick You. Rocky said being around veterans like Denzel has pushed him creatively. “Anytime I’m around an OG, I just soak in game,” he explained. “I would love to be silver and that wise one day myself. And still be handsome.”
Rocky was photographed for the Hollywood Issue with Callum Turner, LaKeith Stanfield, Glen Powell, and Jeremy Allen White — a lineup that made him feel embraced by the broader Hollywood community. “To be in that space and to be acknowledged and respected as an actor, or just an artist in general… Honestly, it was the boys, man,” he said.
While Rocky’s fashion influence has helped define his public image, he acknowledged that every era ends. “After me, it’ll be somebody special, and hopefully I know who that person is,” he said. “And it’ll be a person who I feel like deserves it.”
There are still no updates on Rocky’s long-awaited Don’t Be Dumb album. Outside of work, he and Rihanna recently welcomed their third child, a daughter named Rocki Irish Mayers, in September.
