A$AP Rocky shared new snippets from his upcoming album Don’t Be Dumb while attending the Cannes Film Festival. At the premiere of his new film Highest 2 Lowest, Rocky and Rihanna were spotted enjoying an unreleased dance-infused track during an afterparty hosted by Ray-Ban.
Another snippet—closer to Rocky’s usual sound—played as the couple walked the rainy red carpet alongside Denzel Washington and Spike Lee. Rocky is at Cannes for his biggest acting role to date and revealed he once auditioned for Star Wars but wasn’t satisfied with his performance.
In an interview, Rocky praised Donald Glover for playing Lando and said he’d still be open to a future role in the franchise. He also shared that Denzel Washington often played Pooh Shiesty and Moneybagg Yo on set, even quoting NLE Choppa during filming.
Highest 2 Lowest hits theaters on August 22 and streams on Apple TV+ starting September 5.
