A$AP Rocky and Margaret Qualley headline Chanel’s latest short film, released Sunday, November 30. The three-minute surreal clip, directed by Michel Gondry, follows the pair as a couple embarking on a romantic chapter together.
The film opens with Rocky and Qualley waking up in bed before Qualley rushes to a New York City subway. Rocky pursues her through Manhattan streets and across a river, wearing red silk pajamas, culminating in a cinematic proposal. The silent visuals are accompanied by music from Le Motel.
The short film serves as a teaser for Chanel’s Métiers d’Art 2026 show, set to debut Tuesday, December 2, at 8 p.m. ET. A$AP Rocky, recently named Chanel’s newest ambassador, praised Gondry, the director of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, as a key inspiration for his own future directing ambitions.
After Chanel posted a teaser on Instagram, fans responded humorously, referencing Rocky’s partner Rihanna. Comments included playful remarks about dating the rapper while he is married to Rihanna.
