A Nba Youngboy Debuts His New Project, "Lost Files"

In addition to settling a score with an old foe, NBA YoungBoy has blessed listeners with yet more music.

The Baton Rouge rapper continued his busy streak in 2022 by unexpectedly releasing a new album on Friday called Lost Files (December 23). The 21-song collection, as the title suggests, is made up of a combination of previously unheard songs and brand-new songs.

YoungBoy has been an eager collaborator this year, releasing joint albums with DaBaby and Quando Rondo and contributing to songs by 2 Chainz, Quavo & TakeOff, Lil Nas X, and others. However, on this extensive hour-long compilation, the 23-year-old rides solo.

YoungBoy’s eighth full-length release of 2022, Lost Files, is the follow-up to Ma’ I Got a Family from October. The rapper under house arrest once considered releasing 10 mixtapes this year before revealing last month that he “run out of rhymes.”

The leader of Never Broke Again, though, seems to have gotten over his block and plans to continue where he left off in the coming year. He hinted earlier this month that his fifth studio album, tentatively titled I Rest My Case, will be released in January.
