The annual Roc Nation Brunch, which made its post-pandemic comeback this weekend, was hosted for the first time in three years by JAY-Z and Beyoncé.
Following Roc Nation’s invitation to “join us for a celebration of the highest elevation of self,” the power couple were joined on Saturday, February 4, at a private property in the hills above Los Angeles by a plethora of friends, relatives, associates, and proteges.
A small orchestra playing along a walkway leading up to an open rotunda area greeted visitors as they approached the site. Photos from prior Roc Nation Brunches, like as a portrait of Lauren London and Nipsey Hussle taken just weeks before his passing in 2019, were hung on the walls of the roofless foyer.
Like prior iterations of the private event, visitors appear to have been encouraged to stick to specific colors when it came to their attire, with the majority of guests wearing colors of pink, white, green, and gray. Beyoncé wore a futuristic white costume evocative of her promotional look for Renaissance, her seventh studio album.
JAY-Z and Beyoncé didn’t appear in any photos together, as in previous years, and they appeared to arrive at the event separately. In one YouTube video, Hov can be seen approaching the outside tent location with famed stylist June Ambrose and stopping to wave off a camera.
