Telfar has launched a new version of its well-known shopping bag, now wrapped in Tyvek, a synthetic material with a paper-like appearance. The new bags are part of the brand’s continued effort to experiment with design and materials while keeping core elements of the original product.
Although the bags look like they’re made of paper, Tyvek is known for its durability and water resistance. It is often used in construction and protective clothing, such as HAZMAT suits. In fashion, the material has appeared in items like Doublet’s ASICS sneakers and Kim Kardashian’s 2025 Balenciaga gown. Telfar’s adaptation adds to this list, introducing a new visual texture while maintaining functionality.
The bags feature the same design structure as Telfar’s standard shopping bag, including the double straps and magnetic closure. They are offered in the brand’s usual sizes: small, medium, and large.
In terms of color, the Tyvek bags are available in black, brown, and white. Each bag has a textured finish meant to resemble crinkled paper, giving a distinct look while remaining practical for regular use.
The release comes shortly after the launch of Telfar’s Infinity collection and includes matching wallets. Both the bags and wallets are now available through Telfar’s website and retail store, continuing the brand’s ongoing product development with new materials and formats.
