Adobe is marking 35 years of Photoshop by launching a new mobile app designed specifically for phones. The app is now available for iPhone, with an Android version planned for release soon. While users can access many core features for free, Adobe offers premium upgrades for additional tools.
The free version includes essential editing features such as layering, masking, and selection tools. Users can also remove, recolor, and replace elements using Tap Select, or clean up images with the Spot Healing Brush. The app integrates with Adobe Express and Lightroom, allowing a smooth workflow between creative projects.
Adobe’s AI tools, including Firefly’s Generative Fill and Generative Expand, are available in the free version. Users also have access to Adobe Stock assets at no extra cost, expanding their design options.
Alongside the mobile release, Adobe has updated Photoshop’s web version, bringing more advanced editing tools to browsers. This allows users to edit images without needing to install the app on their devices.
For those wanting more features, Adobe offers a Photoshop Mobile and Web plan at $7.99 per month or $69.99 per year. This includes advanced blend modes, over 20,000 fonts, AI-generated imagery, and tools like Magic Wand, Clone Stamp, and Content-Aware Fill.
The Photoshop mobile app is now available for iPhone on the App Store. Adobe will announce the Android release date soon.
