Boston’s Everyone250 Campaign Marked 250 Years With a Focus on Inclusion.

As America approached its 250th anniversary, Boston marked the milestone with Everyone250, a campaign that was designed to highlight the city’s diverse voices and histories. More than just a commemoration, the initiative focused on storytelling, cultural events, and community engagement to ensure that the city’s history reflects all who have shaped it.

The campaign brought together over 100 partners, artists, and organizations to recognize the contributions of communities that have often been left out of traditional narratives. The goal was to honor Boston’s past while pushing for a more inclusive future.

Among the individuals that represented the movement are:

  • Shantel “Stax” Teixeira for @btoboston
  •  Imari Paris Jeffries for @embracebos
  • Emily Foster Day  for @massartboston
  • Jeneé Osterheldt for @abeautifulresistance
  • Dart Adams for @mathmatik_athletics

The campaign also featured a wide network of partners, including organizations like Mass Humanities, Everybody Gotta Eat, Boston Ed Fund, and La Sala Boston, alongside cultural staples like Slade’s, Chez Vous Skating Rink, and In The Cut Nubian.

Co-chaired by Jeneé Osterheldt, Imari Paris Jeffries, Dart Adams, Emily Foster Day, and Brian Boyles, the movement aimed to reshape how Boston’s history is told, ensuring that the city’s cultural richness is fully recognized.
