Doja Cat, Queen Latifah, and Wicked stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande have been announced as performers for the 2025 Oscars. A press release on Wednesday (February 26) confirmed their participation, along with LISA of Blackpink and RAYE. The Los Angeles Master Chorale will also make a special appearance during the event.
Additional performers will be announced in the coming days. The ceremony, hosted by Conan O’Brien, will take place on Sunday (March 2) and will air live on ABC and Hulu at 7 p.m. ET.
Doja Cat’s performance may be part of the rollout for her next album. She recently announced that her upcoming project, Vie, is “coming soon.” In October, she previewed some of the album at a small fan event, where attendees described the sound as a mix of pop and R&B. The album follows Scarlet (2023), which included singles like Paint the Town Red and Agora Hills. A deluxe edition, Scarlet 2 CLAUDE, was released in April 2024.
Queen Latifah recently received the National Medal of Arts from President Joe Biden, along with Missy Elliott. The two artists were recognized at a White House ceremony in October, alongside Spike Lee, Steven Spielberg, and Eva Longoria. The National Medal of Arts is the highest award given to artists and arts patrons in the U.S., honoring contributions to the arts.
Missy Elliott shared photos and videos from the event on X, writing, “I am humbly grateful. Thinking of the days I wasn’t so strong, but through faith and prayer, I kept going. I’m so thankful, @POTUS.” She also congratulated Queen Latifah, adding, “Thank you for opening doors for me and those after you.”
More details on the Oscars and additional performances will be announced soon.
