Wu-Tang Clan Returns With Black Samson, The Bastard Swordsman.

Wu-Tang Clan is set to release their first album in eight years, Black Samson, The Bastard Swordsman: Wu-Tang, The Saga Continues Collection. The project, produced by longtime collaborator and group DJ Mathematics, will be available on April 12 for Record Store Day.

Unlike their 2017 release The Saga Continues, which was missing U-God, this album features the entire collective, including Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Cappadonna, U-God, Masta Killa, Inspectah Deck, GZA, and RZA. Guest appearances include Kurupt, Kool G Rap, and Benny the Butcher. Mathematics describes the album as a blend of innovation, storytelling, and legacy.

5,000 copies will be available for Record Store Day, each featuring unique cover art, making every jacket a one-of-a-kind collectible. A digital release is also planned, though the track “Charleston Blue, Legend of a Fighter” will remain exclusive to vinyl.

This marks Wu-Tang Clan’s first full-group album since Once Upon a Time in Shaolin in 2015, which was privately sold and later showcased at the Museum of Old and New Art in Australia.
