Madlib is bringing his fundraising efforts to New York following the loss of his home in the Los Angeles wildfires. The legendary producer has enlisted Black Thought, Pete Rock, and others for a special benefit concert.
Set for February 19 at Brooklyn’s Crown Hill Theatre, the “Tribute to Madlib & Benefit Show” will raise funds for Altadena fire relief. The event will feature performances by Just Blaze, DJ Spinna, Karriem Riggins, Statik Selektah, DJ Tara, Your Old Droog, and Percee P. Hosted by Madlib’s manager Stacy Epps and former Lootpack member Wildchild, the show aims to rally community support.
Madlib revealed in January that he and his family lost their home, music archives, and equipment in the LA fires. He and Epps launched an online fundraiser to help with housing, essentials, and rebuilding efforts. Donations can be made at donorbox.com/madlibrebuild.
