The Recording Academy has confirmed that the 2025 Grammy Awards will take place as scheduled on February 2 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. and Board Chair Tammy Hurt issued a joint statement affirming the event’s continuation despite ongoing challenges posed by the LA wildfires.
“This year’s show will carry a renewed sense of purpose: raising additional funds to support wildfire relief efforts and honoring the bravery and dedication of first responders who risk their lives to protect ours,” the statement read.
The announcement follows earlier speculation that the Grammys might face postponement or a shift in format due to the wildfires. Other events at the venue, including Lakers and Kings games, have already been postponed.
If the show had been delayed, it would have marked the third time this decade the Grammys faced postponements, following similar adjustments in 2021 and 2022 due to COVID-19.
