Lil Baby's ‘My Turn’ Named Top Rap Album Of The Century As WHAM Dominates Charts.

Lil Baby’s 2020 album My Turn has been recognized as the most successful rap album of the 21st century, based on Billboard’s Top Billboard 200 Albums of the 21st Century list. The ranking evaluates performance on the Billboard 200 charts from January 1, 2000, to December 28, 2024. My Turn ranked eighth overall, outpacing all other rap albums. It followed projects by Morgan Wallen, Taylor Swift, Adele, the Hamilton cast recording, and Post Malone. Other notable rap albums on the list include Kendrick Lamar’s DAMN. at No. 25, Drake’s Views at No. 28, and Pop Smoke’s Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon at No. 31.

Lil Baby’s latest album WHAM (Who Hard As Me), released on January 3, is projected to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, with estimated first-week sales of 115,000-125,000 album-equivalent units. If the predictions hold, this will mark Lil Baby’s fourth consecutive No. 1 album, following My Turn, The Voice of the Heroes with Lil Durk in 2021, and It’s Only Me in 2022. The 15-track project features collaborations with Travis Scott, Future, Young Thug, GloRilla, Rod Wave, Rylo, and 21 Savage.

Lil Baby has also announced plans to release two additional albums in 2025, showcasing different aspects of his artistry. Speaking on Lil Yachty’s A Safe Place podcast, he revealed that the second album, titled Dominique after his real name, is expected to arrive in February. He explained that while WHAM focuses on the “turnt lifestyle” of fast cars, jewelry, and parties, Dominique will explore a more personal side of the rapper, giving fans deeper insight into his life and experiences.
