In order to prepare for Rihanna’s upcoming return to the stage for the Super Bowl LVII halftime show in Glendale, Arizona next month, JAY-Z is apparently on board.
CapitalFM reports that Hov will coordinate the eagerly awaited performance with Rihanna scheduled for February 12 along with Roc Nation.
Hov, who has been the NFL’s live music entertainment strategy since 2019, was responsible for signing Rihanna to Def Jam during his brief tenure as the label’s president in 2005.
“Rihanna is a generational talent, a woman of humble beginnings who has surpassed expectations at every turn,” Jay said. “A person born on the small island of Barbados who became one of the most prominent artists ever. Self-made in business and entertainment.”
Rih has been mum about the performance, but many fans are hoping to see some of her A-list partners make an appearance as surprise performers during the 12-minute session.
