Beyoncé’s BeyGood Foundation Makes $100K Donation to University of Houston’s Law Center

Beyoncé’s BeyGood Foundation has contributed $100,000 to the University of Houston’s Law Center, aimed at enhancing the Criminal Justice Clinic. This donation will enable the clinic to hire a full-time director, expand its services, and increase student enrollment in future semesters. The initiative seeks to improve access to legal education and support underserved communities in the surrounding areas.

Dean Leonard Baynes of the UH Law Center expressed his gratitude, emphasizing that the funding will strengthen the clinic’s ability to provide pro bono legal services and improve its criminal justice programming. He noted that this partnership with BeyGood aligns with a shared vision of fostering access to strong legal representation and preparing the next generation of criminal justice attorneys in Houston and beyond.

The BeyGood Foundation, founded in 2013, focuses on supporting organizations and initiatives that promote economic well-being and community growth.

Separately, Beyoncé attended the Mufasa: The Lion King premiere with her family earlier this week. She reprises her role as Nala, while her daughter, Blue Ivy, makes her feature film debut as Kiara, Nala and Simba’s daughter. During an interview on Good Morning America, Beyoncé shared her pride in Blue Ivy’s work, noting the significance of seeing her daughter bring a character to life.
