GloRilla will join the 2025 Honda Battle of the Bands in Los Angeles, set to close the event with a powerful performance on February 1 at SoFi Stadium. This year’s event marks the first time the Battle of the Bands will take place on the West Coast, showcasing six HBCU marching bands in a high-energy competition celebrating Black culture.
In her announcement, GloRilla expressed her excitement, saying, “I can’t wait to bring the energy alongside these talented HBCU bands. This event is going to be straight fire, showcasing the beauty and brilliance of Black culture.” The six participating HBCUs include Alabama A&M University, Alabama State University, Hampton University, North Carolina A&T State University, Southern University, and the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.
Hosting the event will be Nick Cannon, taking the stage with his well-known energy and experience, as he once did starring in Drumline. Jasmine Cockfield, project lead for Honda Battle of the Bands, added, “With the incredible band performances, Nick Cannon hosting, and GloRilla as the grand finale, Honda Battle of the Bands 2025 will be a show for the ages.”
Tickets for this event are on sale now through Ticketmaster, with the event scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. PT on February 1.
