Westside Gunn has announced he’ll be releasing two new albums next week to coincide with Halloween. The Buffalo, New York rapper shared the news on Instagram on Thursday (October 24), also revealing the covers for both projects.
Fans can expect a new Griselda compilation album titled 11 on Thursday (October 31), followed by a solo project from Gunn titled Still Praying on Friday (November 1). The cover for 11 features a photo of Gunn with his late friend Big Dump, who passed away earlier this year, with a line that reads: “Free Sly… for Big Dump.” The album’s title suggests Gunn may be reviving his fan-favorite Hitler Wears Hermes series, which includes 10 previous installments.
The cover for Still Praying is a candid shot of professional wrestler Sidney “Sid Vicious” Eudy, who also passed away in 2024. Gunn captioned his post: “YOU KNOW WHAT SEASON IT IS, IM BACK!!!!!!! IM DROPPING 2X NEXT WEEK… GRISELDA RECORDS PRESENTS …..10/31 11. 11/1 STILL PRAYING. EXECUTIVE PROD BY WESTSIDE GUNN.”
Earlier this month, Gunn first announced Still Praying, describing it as the start of a new era for Griselda Records. “THIS IS FOR BIG DUMP, MICHELLE, GDAD, VIRGIL, CHINEGUN, SLY GREEN, KUTTER, SHOTS, BACON, BEHIND THE WALL and BUFFALO!!!!!!” he wrote, referencing late family members, friends, and collaborators. “I promise y’all about to witness a new chapter starting NOW!!!!”
Gunn added that Still Praying marks the beginning of this era and promised fans they’d “never forget this” as they support the art.
Besides these releases, Gunn has also teased another solo project, Flygod Is An Awesome God III (Trilogy). He first mentioned it this past summer, confidently stating that it would be one of the year’s best albums, calling it “AOTY” (Album of the Year) and proclaiming he had produced it “to perfection.”
