Apple Music Unveils New 'set List' Feature For Artists To Promote Concerts.

Apple Music has introduced a new “Set List” feature that allows artists to create playlists to promote their concerts. To use this feature, artists must upload an image to Apple Music, which will be used as the playlist cover.

Artists can create a Set List playlist by going to the Artist Playlists section, selecting an event type (concert, tour, or residency), connecting upcoming shows manually or through Bandsintown, and adding tracks to complete the playlist. Playlists can be scheduled to go live, with the earliest date being one day in the future. There’s no limit on how many Set List playlists an artist can create.

These playlists will also appear on an artist’s Shazam profile, helping fans discover or remember the songs performed, even for those who couldn’t attend the live shows.

This feature is part of Apple Music’s 2024 updates, which also include the ability to track radio spins and export playlists to YouTube Music. Spotify and Amazon Music continue to add features as well, with Spotify introducing offline playlists and AI tools, while Amazon focuses on exclusive content and partnerships.
