Cardi B Teases Long-Awaited Sophomore Album During LA Trip.

Cardi B is making moves in Los Angeles, where she’s spending nine days focused on her long-anticipated sophomore album. During an X Spaces session on Wednesday (Oct. 16), she gave fans a glimpse of what’s in store.

“I’m in L.A. because I have to do something for the album. It’s going to be quick,” Cardi said. She shared that she attempted the task while pregnant, but it didn’t go as planned. Now, she’s redoing it to ensure everything turns out “amazing and unique.”

Though Cardi didn’t reveal specifics about the album, she reassured fans that it’s coming soon. “I’m sorry for the delay. It’s not gonna be crazy long,” she added. “Things are getting more done now! I’m not pregnant no more.”

The rapper’s debut album, Invasion of Privacy, was released over six years ago, and while she’s been teasing the follow-up for 2024, the year is quickly coming to a close. Cardi also hinted that an official announcement would drop soon.

In the meantime, she’s kept busy with singles like “Enough (Miami)” and “Like What (Freestyle),” as well as collaborations with artists like Megan Thee Stallion, GloRilla, and Rob 49.

Amid her professional pursuits, Cardi has also been navigating personal changes. She gave birth to her third child in September, following her divorce filing from Offset in July. Now single, she’s focused on finding balance and peace.

“Life has been really weird,” Cardi reflected. “I’m single and having fun, but I have to stop it to stay focused on my work.”
