Kanye West Teases New Album 'Bully' with Preview of "Beauty and the Beast".

Kanye West has offered a glimpse of his upcoming album Bully, sharing a teaser of a new track titled “Beauty and the Beast” on Instagram on Tuesday (October 15). The audio, which was part of his Vultures Listening Experience in Haikou, China, last month, was described as “live from Haikou” and “updated in Tokyo.”

In the post, Kanye confirmed that Bully is “on the way,” marking the first time since his 2004 debut, The College Dropout, that he will reportedly be the sole producer on an album. The rapper has traditionally worked with a team of producers and writers, but this time, he is said to be taking full creative control.

According to journalist and podcaster Touré, Kanye is currently living in Tokyo, where he is working on Bully in a hotel room. “It’s a concept album, and he plans to be the only producer on it,” Touré revealed in an Instagram video. He described the project as a fresh chapter for Kanye, where he can be “who he wants to be.”

Touré also noted that Kanye is pulling from an eclectic range of musical influences, as he has traveled the world and expanded his musical horizons. “This album is 100% him,” Touré added, emphasizing that it will be entirely produced and made by Kanye, something that hasn’t happened in many years.

Bully will be Kanye’s first solo album since 2020’s Donda. While no release date has been confirmed, anticipation is building for this unique, fully self-produced project.
