Tesla has introduced its latest vehicle concepts at the recent “We, Robot” event, unveiling plans for an autonomous “Cybercab Robotaxi” and “Robovan.” These new vehicles are designed to revolutionize public transport by focusing on safety and affordability through full autonomy.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk stated that these autonomous taxis could be 10 times safer than human drivers and significantly reduce transport costs. The sleek, futuristic designs of the vehicles feature modern aesthetics with light bars, deep-dish rims, and butterfly doors.
Both vehicles are still in the concept phase, with no detailed performance statistics released yet. Tesla is targeting production to begin before 2027 with a price point under $30,000 USD. Additionally, Tesla plans to roll out Full Self-Driving (FSD) for the Model 3 and Model Y in California and Texas starting next year.
