Dapper Discusses the Hustle Behind His Success in Music, Business, and Boxing.

In this episode of Cook N’ Up 215, rapper Dapper shares the story of his music career, which began around 2012-2013 with a track featuring Quilly while he was a student at Temple University. Initially an accounting major, Dapper switched to business legal studies, a move that later benefited his various business ventures. Among his enterprises is a daycare called “Young with Options,” which has been successfully running for 6-7 years.

Dapper’s talents extend beyond music; he has acted in multiple roles, including portraying Teddy Pendergrass in a film and appearing in commercials. His impressive work ethic and marketing skills earned him a spot on tour with Conway, Benny the Butcher, and Westside Gunn.

He underscores the value of hard work, passion, and the willingness to work for free to gain experience and build connections in the music industry. Dapper has released several albums, with “Thanks for Nothing” standing out as a pivotal project. Although he moved to Los Angeles to advance his career, he faced danger when caught in a drive-by shooting while attending a podcast.

Dapper also discussed his brief venture into boxing, where he lost his first fight in a split decision, and his initial daycare center in Chester, PA, which was short-lived. Throughout his career, Dapper has demonstrated versatility in music, acting, and business, continually reinventing himself and remaining relevant in the industry. He emphasizes the importance of focusing on long-term goals, opportunities over immediate financial gain in the entertainment industry and much more.
