Wasting no time after “Meet the Grahams,” Lamar keeps the pressure on Drake with yet another diss track!
Kendrick Lamar dropped another diss track aimed at Drake, making it three in just over a day. Titled “Not Like Us,” the song landed on Lamar’s official YouTube channel, leaving no room for deep fake doubts. The visuals? A not-so-subtle overhead shot of Drake’s Toronto mansion marked with symbols straight out of a predator registry.
Produced by Mustard, the track itself is built on a repetitive keyboard loop and features Lamar channeling his inner Southern drawl to comical extremes. It opens with a creepy whisper, “Pssst: I see dead people,” before diving headfirst into another round of personal jabs at Drake.
He launched into a series of personal jabs at Drake’s past comments about dating younger women. “Say Drake, I hear you like ‘em young / You better not have to go to Cell Block One,’ ‘ he begins before a dig at the title of Drake’s 2021 album ‘Certified Lover Boy’? Certified pedophile” – And to cap it all off, a musical pun: “Why you trolllin’ like a bitch, ain’t you tired? Trying to strike a chord, and it’s probably a-minor.” The rapidly escalating battle has been a whirlwind for anyone who’s been keeping score, who is leading?
