Veteran talent manager Robert “ROB” Kelley-Morgan (a Bostonian hailing from Roxbury) is teaming up with the Recording Artist Project at Harvard Law School (HARVARD RAP) for a symposium on the new age of Hip Hip on Saturday, March 30th from 12pm – 8pm. Hitmakers Symposium: The New Age Of Hip Hop is a one-day conference that features discussions on business & legal, media & culture and artist repertoire while educating and showcasing the local artists and entrepreneurs in Boston. The aim for this event is to educate and empower artists and professionals within the Hip-Hop/Rap and R&B genres on the crucial intersection of music business, media, law, and business strategy.

About RAP: The Recording Artist Project (RAP) at Harvard Law School is a collaborative initiative that works with the music industry, focusing on legal aspects and artist support. It engages in activities that bridge the gap between law and music, providing educational and networking opportunities for artists, law students, and professionals. This collaboration, particularly with events like the Hitmakers Symposium, emphasizes RAP’s commitment to fostering understanding and growth within the music industry, especially for emerging artists navigating the complexities of music law and business. The project is run by RAP Director Sam Koolaq and Faculty Advisor and founding faculty member Professor Brian Price. This year RAP’s president and lead is Ify-White Thorpe, a J.D Candidate who was once virally accepted into all 8 Ivy League schools as a black woman.
