The second track from West Coast supergroup Mount Westmore’s upcoming debut album, Snoop Cube 40 $hort, has some “Free Game.”
Hip-hop icons Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, E-40, and Too $hort made up the group, who released a new song and a Cam Busby-directed music video on Black Friday (November 25).
E-40 adds some gems for the mind to the electro-funk-driven song before Snoop pushes Black ownership and self-empowerment. Short Dog and Cube come next, imparting priceless life lessons without charging extra.

On December 9, Mount Westmore will release its 16-track Snoop Cube 40 $hort LP, which was previously only accessible via blockchain over the course of the summer as Bad MFs. Additional tracks not included in the initial drop will be included in the release to streamers.
“You know what it is,” Cube said at the time of the Bad MFs release. “Mount Westmore — you got the four pillars of West Coast Hip Hop. We are down with Gala Music. We are coming out with that Mount Westmore BAD MFs album. There is going to be new music, new experiences, shows, everything that the Westmore got, baby, you gonna get it.”
The project is almost two years in the making
“I get a call during the early part of the quarantine from E-40 and Ice Cube going, ‘Man, we feel like we should do an album.” Like me, you … it’s E-40, Cube, Too $hort, and Snoop Dogg,” $hort told Serch during a conversation for his Serch Says podcast.
“And I’m like — E-40 and Too $hort from the Bay, Snoop Dogg, and Cube are from L.A. and we like the West Coast foundation. We sat there and was like, ‘Fuck it, let’s do it.’ So, we start coming up with beats.”
