50 Cent Raises $500,000 For Houston Children’s Charity At Gala.

Houston, TX – 50 Cent has raised $500,000 for the Houston Children’s Charity at its annual gala by auctioning off two oversized bottles of his Le Chemin du Roi champagne. The G-Unit rapper’s efforts will help support children in the Houston area.

In a video shared on Instagram, 50 Cent expressed his excitement, writing: “Houston children’s charity is an amazing organization … I helped raise 500,000 thousand for the kids last night i had a ball.” The footage captured his sense of humor, as he joked about the auctioneer’s fast-paced speech and the wealth of the winning bidder.

Houston Texans legend Andre Johnson also joined 50 on stage, adding to the excitement of the night. The event, which raised over $6 million in total, set a new record for the charity. Celebrities like actor Jeremy Renner also attended.

50 Cent has been actively involved in charity work in Houston since relocating there four years ago. In 2020, he donated $850,000 worth of toys to City Wide Club’s holiday event, helping to meet its goal of giving away 100,000 toys to local children. At a press conference, 50 shared his philosophy: “You make more, you give more back.”

In 2022, 50 awarded a $48,000 scholarship to Kennedy Nelms, a Kashmere High School senior, allowing her to attend her “dream school,” the University of Texas at Austin, through his G-Star program. The rapper expressed pride in his efforts to support local students.

In recognition of his charitable work, 50 Cent was given a key to the city of Houston in November 2022, calling it “an honor.”
