21 Savage has kept a low profile throughout 2025, but fans believe his 2026 plans are officially beginning. This week at Art Basel in Miami, he unveiled an inflatable art installation that many see as the first sign of a new album rollout.
The piece was built in collaboration with British-Nigerian artist and designer Slawn. The installation features a large inflatable head in Slawn’s signature style, punctured by a knife, and marked with Savage’s knife tattoo on the forehead. Surrounding the piece is the phrase “WHTTS,” along with a pre-save link directing fans to his Spotify and Apple Music pages.
The move mirrors the unconventional rollouts Savage has embraced in the past, including the early-year release of American dream in January 2024.
With the cryptic messaging and the visual emphasis on his signature branding, supporters are waiting to see whether he leans fully into a new era as the year closes.
Looking ahead, another album cycle could put Savage in contention for the 2027 Grammy Awards. His Grammy history already includes one win — Best Rap Song for “a lot” with J. Cole in 2020 — and ten additional nominations across categories such as Best Rap Album, Record of the Year, Best Rap/Sung Performance, and Best Melodic Rap Performance. His collaborative work with Post Malone, J. Cole, Drake, Burna Boy, and Morray has kept him consistently present in major categories, including recognition for i am > i was, “rockstar,” “m y . l i f e,” Her Loss, “Rich Flex,” “Spin Bout U,” and “Sittin’ On Top Of The World.”
As for “WHTTS,” fans now wait to see if Savage officially confirms the project and sets the tone for what could be one of his biggest years yet.
