21 Savage Drops New Album What Happened to the Streets? With Star-Studded Features and Limited-Edition Slawn Covers

21 Savage is closing 2025 with a major release. His new album, What Happened to the Streets?, arrived on Friday and marks his first full-length project since 2024’s American Dream. The 14-track project includes guest appearances from Latto, Young Nudy, Drake, GloRilla, G Herbo, Metro Boomin, Lil Baby, and Jawan Harris.

He first hinted at the release earlier this month, teasing that something significant was dropping on December 12. Days later, he confirmed the new album with a cinematic black-and-white trailer filled with intense imagery — snipers, barking dogs, flame-covered streets, and fast-moving crowds. The clip ended with the album title and release date, signaling a darker, high-stakes theme.

21 kept most details under wraps leading up to release day, avoiding tracklist reveals or feature confirmations. Still, peers like G Herbo and DJ Khaled quickly hyped the rollout in the comments. “You know you go NO SKIPS every time, Buddy,” Herbo wrote, while Khaled added, “WE READY.”

The arrival of the album was paired with the official video for “HA,” one of its standout tracks. Fans can now stream the full project across all platforms and order physical versions online.

The album’s main cover is an original painting by Slawn, inspired by Kerry James Marshall’s 1980 piece A Portrait of the Artist as a Shadow of His Former Self. In addition to the primary artwork, the album comes in four limited-edition alternate covers designed by Slawn. Each special version is capped at 2,100 units and includes a numbered booklet plus a fold-out poster featuring exclusive Slawn artwork.
