In an interview with Cook’N Up 215, 1212 the poet, a restauranteur, entrepreneur and poet talked about her experience in the modeling industry. She reveals that she quit modeling because it was difficult to get jobs without being sexually exploited by people in charge. 1212 the Poet now does poetry about gun violence and raising awareness.
After quitting modeling, 1212 the Poet went to nursing school but then the pandemic hit and classes moved online. During this time, she started cooking for people attending her online classes and eventually decided to open her own restaurant which is called Banging Brunch and Wild Brunch.
The second half of the interview discusses her experience running a restaurant. She talks about the challenges of being a business owner, including a story of how she was scammed and shot in the head.
The interview ends with Miss 122 the PO talking about her upcoming community event where she will be providing food and activities for the community. She also talks about her hope to inspire people to make a positive change in their communities.
