Years & Years might have something to say about it before the ball drops next month. We have to admit that 2022 wasn’t exactly a year that had us dancing up a storm.
The legendary dance-pop hit “100% Pure Love” by Crystal Waters has been covered by Olly Alexander’s British electronic music project, and the upbeat version will serve as the soundtrack for Target’s 2022 holiday advertising campaign. To put it another way: Expect to hear it a lot before Santa Claus arrives. “Crystal’s voice in the original song is so alluring, and she exudes such a unique energy,” says Alexander, “That really motivated me when I arrived to record my vocals.”
It has such a great message and a liberated vibe, so I really hope people like it. I adore it!
