Snoop Dogg And Death Row Partner With Reservoir Media To Expand Music Catalog And Legacy.

Snoop Dogg and Death Row Records have partnered with Reservoir Media, the company responsible for bringing De La Soul’s music to streaming platforms.

A press release on Wednesday (September 24) revealed that the deal includes the U.S. publishing rights for all of Snoop’s past and future works, as well as the entire Death Row catalog, which Snoop acquired in 2022. This includes iconic 2Pac tracks such as “Hail Mary,” “I Ain’t Mad At Cha,” and “Picture Me Rollin’.”

Snoop expressed his excitement, stating, “I’m honored to have them as a partner and look forward to all the exciting things ahead for the catalog and new music ventures. 2024 and beyond.”

Reservoir’s founder and CEO, Golnar Khosrowshahi, shared her enthusiasm, highlighting the opportunity to support Snoop’s legendary catalog and strengthen Death Row’s legacy. She praised Snoop’s dedication to preserving the label’s history, which aligns with Reservoir’s commitment to supporting iconic music brands.

In related news, De La Soul’s catalog earned 12.5 million U.S. streams in its first week on digital platforms after being added in March 2023. The group’s debut album *3 Feet High and Rising* was the top-streamed album and re-entered several Billboard charts, including No. 8 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and No. 15 on the Billboard 200. The hit single “Me, Myself and I” led the group’s most streamed tracks with 1 million on-demand streams.

De La Soul had faced delays due to sample clearance issues and a dispute with their former label, Tommy Boy. However, Reservoir Media’s acquisition of Tommy Boy in 2021 helped resolve these challenges, leading to the release of the group’s music on streaming services.
