Range Music Publishing Expands Global Reach with Exclusive UMPG Deal Following Chart-Topping Success.

Range Music Publishing, part of Range Media Partners, has signed an exclusive global administration deal with Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG), building on its existing ties with Universal Music Group’s Capitol Music Group and Virgin Music Group. Range Media Partners is a rapidly growing entertainment company with a presence in music, film, TV, production, comedy, and sports, with offices in Los Angeles, New York, and Nashville.

The UMPG deal follows publishing client Sean Cook’s success, with Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” topping the Billboard Hot 100 for ten consecutive weeks. Range Music Publishing, launched in 2023, aims to be a boutique, full-service music publisher, leveraging the synergies within Range’s broader ecosystem.

In the past six months, Range has celebrated five top-charting songs across various radio formats and genres, including country, top 40, rhythmic, hot AC, and dance radio, as well as the longest-running Billboard Hot 100 #1 of 2024. In addition to Cook’s achievements with “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” and Paul Russell’s hit “Lil Boo Thang,” Range has seen success with Geoff Warburton (Tyler Hubbard’s “Back Then Right Now,” Luke Bryan’s “But I Got a Beer in My Hand”) and Tyler Dopps (“Young & Foolish” by Loud Luxury featuring Charlieonnafriday).

Range Publishing’s roster features talents like Cook, Warburton, Luke Grimes, Dylan Gossett, Grant Averill, Tyler Dopps, Two Fresh, Luke Niccoli, Simon Oscroft, and Rudey, all of whom are included in the new UMPG deal. Range Music also represents artists such as Jack Harlow, Shaboozey, Tanya Tucker, Cordae, Pentatonix, Saweetie, Murda Beatz, and more.

Casey Robison of Range Music expressed excitement about the partnership with UMPG, highlighting their strong team and commitment to providing top-tier creative opportunities and administration for their roster. Matt Graham, co-founder and Managing Partner of Range, emphasized the collaboration’s benefits for their writers, producers, and artists across music, film, TV, sports, and gaming. UMPG’s EVP and Co-Head of A&R, Jennifer Knoepfle, praised Range’s rapid impact in the publishing world and expressed enthusiasm about the partnership’s future endeavors.
