A$AP Rocky Cancels iHeartRadio Music Festival Performance Due To Illness, Shares Update On Upcoming Album Don't Be Dumb.

A$AP Rocky announced on Thursday, Sept. 19, that he has canceled his performance at the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas, Nevada, this weekend.

“Unfortunately, I got sick and won’t be able to perform at the @iheartfestival. I’m sorry to my fans and grateful to @iheartradio for the opportunity!” he shared on his Instagram Story. “I was excited to share some new music with y’all! Enjoy the show—the lineup is [fire emojis].”

Despite Rocky’s absence, artists like Big Sean, Camila Cabello, Doja Cat, Dua Lipa, Gwen Stefani, Halsey, Hozier, Keith Urban, New Kids on the Block, Paramore, Shaboozey, The Black Crowes, The Weeknd, Thomas Rhett, and Victoria Monét are still scheduled to perform at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena on Friday, Sept. 20, and Saturday, Sept. 21, with a special appearance from Coldplay’s Chris Martin.

Hosted by Ryan Seacrest, the event will also feature appearances from AJ McLean, Flavor Flav, Jacoby Shaddix, Lance Bass, Paris Hilton, Tiffany Haddish, Hugh Evans, Joe Gatto, and Tara and Hunter Woodhall as presenters.

Rocky’s canceled performance might have included new tracks from his upcoming fourth album Don’t Be Dumb, which was originally set for an Aug. 30 release but has been delayed to later this fall. In a recent Billboard cover story, Rocky explained that leaks and sample clearances were holding up the project. He added on X, “It’s been six years, and I want to make the best album ever. I’m sorry for the delay.” In the past two months, he’s dropped three singles: “HIGHJACK” (featuring Jessica Pratt), “Tailor Swif,” and “Ruby Rosary” (featuring J. Cole).
